There has been a butchers shop in West Wittering since 1929 originally run by the Cook family where the newsagents in the village is today. Then in 1935 the Cooks  bought a plot of land almost opposite and built a new shop which was completed in 1936 which ran for 80 years until 2016. I was lucky enough to meet and work with June and Harold Cook in my time working at the old premises whose parents built the shop, two of the most caring, honest and hard working people I ever met.

Sadly after 27 years working there the butchers shop had to cease trading in  2016 so I decided to relocate next door to a bigger premises giving me the chance to add so much more to the shop than I could have done next door. Since reopening we have not looked back, our extended Deli Range is the talk of the village which compliments our high quality meats perfectly. The new premises also boasts a high range of Condiments, Sauces, Stocks, Drinks, Cakes, Local Vegetables, Ice Cream and Dairy Produce.

June and Harold are both sadly no longer with us but in memory of them I placed two benches at the front of the shop which have become a favourite place to sit for weary walkers coming back from our award winning beach.

Now in my 29th year in this trade in the new premises I am more passionate than ever about the trade supported by my wife Becky who heads our deli counter and between us both we strive to offer the very best service backed up by the very best produce.
